Playing with an orchestra is a skill — and a thrill. Your first session may feel challenging: the orchestra breathes, waits, and moves with you, and that takes some getting used to. That's exactly why your trial lasts 48 hours: enough time for a second session, where everything starts to click.
And as a Premium subscriber, you'll be able to request custom adjustments to your accompaniments — tempi, breathing points and cuts tailored to your playing, handcrafted and delivered within a few days.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
OrchestraPlay is a subscription service that gives solo pianists access to professional orchestral accompaniments for the most iconic piano concertos in the repertoire. Every backing track is composed and produced by hand in Dorico — not generated by AI or MIDI — to give you the most realistic and musical experience possible. You practice or perform at your own piano, and a full orchestra plays with you.
Most accompaniment tools use MIDI sequencers or basic audio loops that sound mechanical and lifeless. OrchestraPlay tracks are composed note by note, with real orchestral balance, breathing, and phrasing in mind. The result sounds like a real orchestra responding to a score — not a machine counting beats.
The current catalogue includes 15 piano concertos: Rachmaninoff No. 1, 2, 3 & 4 — Chopin No. 1 — Beethoven No. 3 & 5 "Emperor" — Tchaikovsky No. 1 — Prokofiev No. 1 & 3 — Mozart No. 20 & 24 — Liszt No. 1 & 2 — Scriabin Op. 20. Violin concertos are arriving in September 2026, and the catalogue grows regularly.
Both plans give you access to all 15 concertos. The difference is in the audio quality and the number of versions available. Standard includes full accompaniments at standard audio quality, with tempo-flexible files at 100%, 70%, and 40% of the normal tempo. Premium adds superior sound quality recordings, a clean version with no click track for performance use, and two versions per concerto — with and without beat — at the highest production quality.
The beat track is a subtle rhythmic pulse mixed into the orchestral accompaniment — similar to a metronome, but musical. It helps you stay in sync with the orchestra when you're learning or working on a passage at tempo. The "without beat" version removes this pulse entirely, giving you a clean, pure orchestral sound — ideal for performing or recording.
These refer to the tempo of the accompaniment, not the volume. 100% means the orchestra plays at the full, standard tempo of the concerto. 70% means the orchestra plays at 70% of that tempo — slower, to give you time to work through difficult passages carefully. 40% is even slower, ideal for detailed technical work on the most demanding sections. These are practice files designed to help you master the concerto progressively, at your own pace, before moving up to full tempo.
Yes — but please contact us first at orchestraplay@gmx.fr to let us know and obtain our agreement. Once approved, the Premium clean version (no click, no beat) is perfectly suited for recitals, competitions, exams, studio recordings, or masterclasses. We want to support every pianist who chooses to perform with OrchestraPlay, and we're happy to discuss the context of your performance.
Immediately after payment, you receive a confirmation email with your login details. You can then log into your private member space and access the full catalogue right away. There is no waiting period, no download required — everything streams directly in your browser.
No. Everything is streamed securely online via our video platform. You just need a stable internet connection and a browser. The files are protected and cannot be downloaded or shared.
Yes. The platform works on any device with a modern browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Many pianists use a tablet on their music stand to follow the score while the orchestra plays.
Yes, with no conditions and no penalty. You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your account. You will keep access until the end of your current billing period.

You can use the "Custom Request" page to submit a request. We review all requests and prioritize new concertos based on demand. If your concerto is already planned, we'll let you know the expected release date.
